This white hen paper plate is a great nursery craft for kids. It's a simple, fun and attractive paper plate that kids can wear on their body or hang outside their bedroom door/on wall.
It's also very easy to make and the equipment needed are accessible. This is also a brilliant activity that kids would enjoy decorating their hen's unique character and help them to be creative and improve their hand works.
You will need: 
  • Red, black and yellow cardboard paper sheets 
  • Paper plates 
  • Green ribbons  
  • Hole Puncher
  • Scissor
  • Glue 
  • Pencils


How To Make The Little White Hen
1) Draw two small circles for eyes using a pencil on a black cardboard sheet and cut the circle with the scissor.
2) Now draw a squiggly mark on a red paper that looks like a wattle and cut it out carefully.
3) Similar to before draw a small triangle on a yellow sheet for the hen's beak and cut it out.
4) On another red cardboard paper sheet let the kids trace their hand on the paper and afterwards cut the hand shape outline.
5) With a hole puncher, make two opposite holes on the paper plate.
6) Now using the glue, stick the eyes, wattle and nose on the paper plate to make a face.
7) For the finishing touch, tie the green ribbon to the plate through the made whole.
8) Other features can be added to make each hens look unique. Let the kids get creative!
